Top seeds Omar El Torkey and Mohamed Abdullah Al Mawled from Saudi had bye in the first round, but it was not an easy ride for the other top seeds as we lost two.
First, Omar Ibrahim Elmahdy [9/16] took out Alaaeldin Abdelkhalik [5/8] in three, 11-6, 11-4, 11-9. Then close, very close three games for Taha Walid Dinana [9/16], ousting Omar Ashraf Adly [3/4] 11-6, 12-10, 12-10.

Let’s start with a bang, in Group A, as Shahd El Refaey [9/16] outplayed Amira El Refaey [3/4] in 53m, 4-11, 11-8, 11-8, 5-11, 11-9. (more to come…)
